The competition information
Appearance
1. While In the competition - only in MDA uniform, (Foreign groups - in your respective uniforms please) closed shoes and name tag
2. Your name tag should be worn during the whole competition.
3. Personal equipment:
a. Protective sun screening cream
b. Flash light - obligatory
c. Closed shoes - obligatory
d. Driving license
e. MDA employee certificate
f. Clothes for your length of stay
g. Stethoscope for each crew member
4. The organizers will supply a special competition hat.
Medical equipment
1. The ALS and BLS teams will receive ahead of time a set of perishable medical equipment. This set should be in the ambulance for the duration of the competition.
The refreshing of the perishable medical equipment should be performed during the journey to the next station.
2. In the ALS vehicles the medicine bag should contain all the drugs of the MICU, according to MDA standard.
3. Ampoules of Nacl 10 cc with stickers may replace : Ampoules of Morphine, Narcan, Ketamine etc.
4. Permanent equipment will be taken from the vehicle.
5. The crew should be in charge of the required technical condition of the equipment. Additional monitor chargers (LP12) should be brought to the competition.
6. In the evening the crews will be able to recharge the batteries (one charger for 3 crews). It is recommended to ask for additional batteries for the Laryngoscope and the Pulseoximeter.
7. The BLS and ALS ambulances should be fully equipped according to the standard. During the competition the equipment and the cleanliness of the ambulance will be checked. The vehicle and the crew are on duty in addition to their participation in the competition and should be ready to be called for real emergencies.
8. A crew member should bring with him special sized gloves if he needs them.
