What is the Championship?

The Championship is a Professional competition in which medical teams are requested to give treatment to patients in various emergency medical situations. The competition will be caried out in 2 circular daily routes.

For each team the daily circle will have 5 stations. In addition a night station will be held on the first night of the competition for all the teams.
Professional skilled evaluators will measure, evaluate and grade the professional treatment ability of the crews, the team performance in the medical stations, the safety levels of driving and the behavior of the teams in the scenario.
The main issue of the competition is the professional ability of the BLS and ALS teams from the medical aspects and safety measures in their performance.
The medical stations will focus on medical treatment in various scenarios. Advanced mannequins and actors will be used as patients in order to create realistic simulations.
The treatment will be based on protocols used in EMS organizations in the world and in MDA - the AHA (American Heart Association ) protocols.
Various varied cases will be used, and the team will be requested to use the right medical solution, taking into account the surrounding circumstances and time limitations.
The safety aspect will be focused on driving emergency vehicle in tough terrain situations, timely reactions, familiarization with the vehicle and safety performance.
The maximum performance time in each professional station, including the scenario and the medical treatment, will be 40 minutes. All 4 crew members have to be in the station and participate in the treatment. The driving between the stations will be in fixed routes decided upon by the competition management. The route will not necessarily be the short one, but it will be compulsory according to the regulations. Driving between the stations will be "regular", without red lights and sirens and according to safety rules and traffic laws. Ambush against speed will be installed along the route
Performing in the time limitations and punctuation will be part of the evaluated issues. A team that will arrive late to the station and will not execute the station assignment will not gain points.
There may be situations when reasonable physical fitness will be needed as well as good team work in sever weather conditions. (June can get hot in the Middle East!!)
Between the stations there will be refreshment stations. Use them for rest and lots of drinking!
During the Championship the teams will stay in the NIr Etzion Hotel on the Carmel.
