MDA's 3rd International EMS Championship Israel 2010

The Championship -More Information:

The teams who take part in the championship will arrive to the starting point in time that will be decided upon on the first day of the championship. They will receive safety instructions and sign acceptance of the competition regulations.
The assignments, the driving routes, the location of the stations and the cases scenarios will be transmitted to the teams by the local dispatch (Carmel/Gilboa).

In the stations the following issues will be examined:
The stages of treatment of the patient according to - PALS, ACLS,
and PHTLS Protocols.
Teamwork
Safety
Leadership
Skill
Clinical decisions
Out come
Familiarization with the protocol
Applying medical protocol
Pharmacology
Order of treatment
Timely treatment
Filling out Medical forms

The medical teams will be evaluated as well in their ability to give life saving treatment to patients with problems of Trauma, Cardiology, Pediatry, Geriatry, emergency breathing problems and any other possible medical emergencies.

The teams will give treatment to an actors/mannequins, according to the scenario they face and according to the treatment instructions and treatment protocols.
During the performance of the treatment the evaluators (2 for each scenario) will fill in fixed checklist for this station. The checklist will assist to decide upon the gathering of points.
The calculation of the evaluations and the points the team will accumulate in all the medical stations, safety stations and night station will be the basis for the general number of points, and the grade the team will score in the scale of the other competitors.
